About EBO & Co. Grocery

EBO has spent the past seven years throwing really fun parties in obscure locations. Guests wouldn’t find out where the parties were until just 24 hours before. Their entire mission is to make things like oysters + caviar approachable. Think: Caviar Pizza Parties and “How the F*$k to Shuck” classes.

They brought oyster farmers, highly creative chefs, cocktail magicians, wine geeks, passionate brewers, artists & hospitality badasses into East Boston (and beyond) to create unique dining experiences. Now, Alexis Cervasio is bottling up all the magic of East Boston Oysters into a permanent space: EBO & Co. Grocery.

With the same character and charisma that’s been the calling card for thousands of visitors since 2014, EBO & Co. Grocery will bring even more favorites to East Boston as a new neighborhood staple.

A Sneak Peek into the Future of East Boston Oysters

Alexis and the team will be sharing updates on EBO & Co.’s progress with all contributors as the campaign goes along. Take a sneak peak at some images here.

A Note From Alexis, owner of EBO & Co. Grocery

This post has a lot of words. Words that are meant to be read. Words that were written for you with love + gratitude, from Alexis

For the past 7 years EBO has given me the freedom to create + the freedom to raise my son, Giacomo. EBO is structured the way that it is in order to give me the flexibility to be a mother and a creative at the same time. This here is truly the entire core of why EBO is the way that it is.  So now...with my son becoming older, a loyal community of wonderful people itching for more things EBO + a neighborhood dying of thirst for more places to shop, dine and hangout... this is me officially announcing that I am opening EBO & Co. Grocery this summer here in the East Boston neighborhood.  It will be a family operation. A labor of love + understanding for what is needed here. A one stop shop for all of the things. From oysters, caviar, cheese, natural wines and snacks to vinyl records, plants, lottery, milk, bread, tampons and eggs.  I am so terrified + excited about this project, my stomach is doing actual flips while typing this. Our neighborhood deserves this place and I can’t wait to BRING IT to you.  (Now I’m crying).

Let me be real with you (I’m never not): I was extremely apprehensive about crowdfunding for a number of reasons but then a friend reminded me that what has been built over the past 7 years is just as unique as the people who have put their trust in us to produce these wild events.  YOU ultimately gave us the confidence to continue creating more experimental experiences and it’s YOU that kept this brand (and my household) ALIVE during a pandemic.

So, I let my guard down (which I rarely do) and I decided to join forces with NuMarket to raise the last amount of funds needed to get this store open.  The long and short of it is: Any money that you can give will be returned to you (+20%), in the form of credits to use at the store.  I feel confident about this crowdfunding model because my scientific hypothesis (based on your history) is: You are going to come and enjoy this store. You are already such a huge part of why we are able to do this and so now, I am going to -vulnerably- drop a link in the bio and pour myself a glass of champagne. LFG BBS.
